Hilal Dance Week 2008, 6th - 12th July 2008

Hilal Dance Week is a fantastic opportunity for an inspirational course of dancing and training with Suraya Hilal and Alessandro el Bascioni. We welcome people from all backgrounds and different abilities, especially newcomers.

• Daily sessions begin with the wonderful Hilal Dance Bodywork (holistic integrating, aligning, relaxing and strengthening exercises accompanied by special breathing).
• Live music and rhythm accompaniment in the dance lessons
• Lectures and discussions on the dance theory, cultural links, and music - a performance platform
• Percussion classes from the Master drummer Ibrahim el Minyawi
• A live music concert to end the week in celebration
• Comfortable accommodation in the Friends Hotel
• Lunch and dinner in the Tanzhaus Bistro, "The Place"
• A good opportunity to meet interesting people from around the world, and to spend time with friends

The cost of the week includes dance sessions, lectures, hotel, breakfast, lunch and dinner. (Sunday 6th July includes afternoon session and dinner only).

A deposit of €300 is required to secure your place. Once you have applied, we will send you information on how to pay.

If you wish to pay in sterling, please contact us when applying. Additional fee for three tablah lessons with Ibrahim el Minyawi: €70.

• Arrive on Sunday morning of the 6st July
• Depart on Sunday morning, 13th July

Participants are asked to travel on the morning of Sunday 6st July, check into the hotel and arrive for registration and welcome reception at 2.30 pm. Our activities begin with relaxing bodywork from 4.30-6.30pm, before dinner.

Those wishing to travel on the day before (Saturday 5th July) will need to make arrangements with the hotel and pay separately for that night. You are advised to do this as early as possible to ensure room availability.

Departure is on Sunday 13th July. Please check out of the hotel by midday.
